Yes, you can, and it’s actually better to use a ceramic tint instead of a dyed tint. The ceramic tint protects the sunroof much better against heat and UV rays compared to other types. However we don’t recommend installing dark ceramic window film on the panoramic sunroof.

The short answer is “no”. There are various rumors online that applying a tinting film over the sunroof will cause it to crack or explode, but those are just myths and they are not based on real facts. Over the years we have installed plenty of sunroof films and the drivers didn’t have any issues. The tinting film itself will not break a glass that is in perfect condition. But if the glass is already cracked, then the tinting can increase the risk of it breaking up. But don’t worry, we will carefully inspect the surface before applying the film, and let you know if there are any tiny cracks or scratches.
